Pine Tar Bar Soap
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
I'd been asked on numerous occasions for a pine tar soap - so here it is! Made with lard and other skin loving ingredients, to keep it as natural as possible this one is unscented. I have no doubt it'll quickly become a favorite.
This one is a 2.5oz bar, smaller than our standard 4oz bar size.
"Pine tar is the end product of pine wood carbonization following distillation using extreme heat. An extensive literature search was conducted back to the 1950s for this review. Pine tar has been used in medicine for more than 2000 years to treat a range of skin conditions because of its soothing and antiseptic properties. In addition, pine tar has been shown to be antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal. These properties make pine tar suitable for the topical treatment of eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis and other dry, itchy, flaky or inflamed skin conditions".
*NIH, National Library of Medicine.
*It is against FDA guidelines for Re-Ewe'able, or any maker, to claim that our soap will cure an ailment or alter your appearance. We make no health claims or cosmetic claims in that our soap will do anything but do what soap does, get you clean.
