100% Wool Yarn - Cheviot 3ply

This yarn was made from the wool of a friends flock of North Country Cheviot sheep. It is 100% wool, milled by Battenkill Fibers in NY.  It is 3ply and each skein weighs right about 3.6oz. I am unsure of the yardage of each skein. 

North Country Cheviot wool yarn is durable and resilient, known for its good loft, elasticity, and spongy feel. Its strength makes it ideal for heavy-wear items like outerwear, socks, and blankets. It is known to be a fine-medium wool.

This yarn was made with the idea of being used to make Guernsey type sweaters, however it would be a wonderful yarn for a lot of projects.
